Yokogawa:

UOI: (Unified Operator Interface)

Services at the Yokogawa’s USDC started in the year 2000 by providing installations/configurations and lab test environment setup for GE Cimplicity SCADA integration with the Yokogawa’s Centum CS-3000 DCS in a dual redundant configuration, the application tailored for critical process controls of power plants controlled by GE Mark Turbine Controllers and Centum DCS.

The product UOI (Unified Operator Interface) were developed as a conversion tools capable of migrating the Centum CS-3000 DCS objects, instrumentation & alarms classes, into the GE Cimplicity SCADA servers providing identical faceplate/interfaces for Cimplicity client/viewer as the Centum CS-3000 HIS (Human Interface Station) client/viewer.

The initial phase were developed to run on Windows NT 4.0 and Cimplicity 4.0 beside Centum CS-3000 DCS, later releases revised to facilitate the implementations in a newer releases of Windows Servers 2000, 2003, 2008, 2008R2 and Cimplicity 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.1, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, 8.1 as well as the newer Centum VP DCS.

The UOI is a fantastic tools for converting a predefined classes & objects, it offer a manual or dynamic conversions, if it’s set for dynamic mode it will convert any changes in the DCS objects as soon as the changes uploaded to the DCS.

VTS Portal:

Services started in the year 2001 at the Yokogawa’s USDC for installations/configurations and lab test environment setup on Windows Terminal Server & Windows Web Server for the VTS Portal application initial release, portal thin client gain remote internet access via a browser to the Centum CS-3000 and Centum VP DCS configuration and programming tools.

The product later releases modified to take advantage of the Windows Server 2008R2 Gateway role configurations to better manage the security of remote access to terminal services on the Yokogawa’s applications server.

The VTS Portal is a very powerful tools facilitating remote access from a browser to configure, program, troubleshoot and manage alarms & events of all the automation and controls applications residing on Windows Terminal Servers from any client browser on the internet.

MDX: (Manufacturing Data Exchange)

Services for the MDX started in the year 2007 at the Yokogawa’s USDC to provide an integration solution of the Centum Batch with SAP client utilizing B2MML XML Schema.

Mapping of Centum Batch recipe/schedule configuration on a customized middleware linking batch parameters from SAP to Centum Batch Controller.

PID Tuner:

Services started in the year 2008 at the Yokogawa’s USDC for the PID Tuner test & analysis integrating the tune application with the Centum EWS (Engineering Work Station) facilitating PID tune/modeling and simulation for Centum DCS PID loops from within the EWS PID’s configuration tools.

Yokogawa’s Centum VP DCS/ProSafe SIS, Safety Instrumented System

Services in the year 2014 for this gas compression and delivery facilities were provided to the systems integrator as an independent consultant evaluating the systems implementations of multi local and remote racks of Centum VP DCS with remote Modbus interface communicating with Siemens S7 PLC’s controllers on multi compression compressors units.

Wonderware SCADA server on a stand alone server communicating with the Yokogawa’s Centum VP DCS over an OPC. The project is for a multiple special gas generators, compression, storage delivery and distributions.

Fischer & Porter DCS:

Services in the year 1993-94 for the upgrade and modification process of a Fischer & Porter DCS at Alcon Lab for a pharmaceutical production lines requires the rewiring and replacement of the DCS I/O interfaces and the isolation of the power and grounding systems related to the process control loops.
